Ultra trail panoramic 100 Miles

Exactly 1 month before i had to give up on The Malnad Ultra 110 KM  due to health issues and Achilles tendon injury .
Because of this injury i focused on recovery and ran Zero miles, just did strengthening and foam rolling.
Race day is approaching ,i started to Thailand by gathering all required mandatory gears for the race.Thought i am travelling solo but in last minute Rocky gave entry and given company to the venue.I reached the venue 1 day before and took motor bike and did site seeing ,took enough rest and did good pre-race carb loading.
Finally the race is arrived and the injury is still exists and i am having a bit weak corner due to this injury .Collected my BIB and took rest at the venue till the race starts.Checked the elevation profile and gathered all the will power and stood at the start line .
Good part of the race is start time, which is 6 PM .Due to this most of the race i ran in darkness.Run route is a big single loop of 160 KM with killer mountains with over all cumulative elevation of the course is 8800 Mts with total cut off of the race is 48 hrs where aid stations are placed minimum of 10 Km and max of 16 KM,finishers who finish under 36 Hrs will get Gold hoodie and for the finishers who finish under 42 Hrs will get Black hoodie after hearing this i decided to get that gold cutoff .
So i laced up and stood at the start line with full confidence. Even i am little bit nervous about my injury i planned the race route in two splits and started fallowing the lead pack . It was good start and i am with lead pack and ran 7 KM to enter in to mountains from the start point ,once we enter the hills lead runners started splitting up .I am fully confident on my finish and executing the hydration plan and taking food at every accessible points.its all going good till 40 KM and i am on my target time .Got Malaysian friend Reynolds Tia company till 80 KM .we ran through freaking cold through darkness and lucky enough to watch sun rise over these beautiful mountains with red silver line .we took 12 hrs to reach 80 KM mark.Once we reach the aid station we loaded with hot soup and noodles  and hit the trail again and started moving towards finish line .my leg started forming ITB pain so i took easy.
But difficult part of the course due to elevation started from 90th KM mark and its day time so we have clear visibility of killer elevations which is mentally tough . I moved with confidence and climbing all those elevations under scorching sun  at mid day around 12 Noon i took 30 min power nap and started climbing again those mountains from this point next 10 KM is completely elevated till next aid station which is 10 KM apart .Around 120 KM mark we need to cross the small water stream which made my shoe wet made challenging to move forward with wet socks finally ended up with blisters under my feet and i don't have option to change so i interchanged the socks and it works well. Finally came out of mountains around 12 AM and still i am having 20 KM to reach the finish line .And finally reached the finish line proudly with mixed feelings around 2:45AM. Yes i finished the course with total time 32 Hrs 43 Minutes ,i am eligible for Golden hoodie now .......Best part of the race is  its start time due which we avoided most part of the Sun.
Learnings :
1.Don't use wet socks ,Change it as early as possible .
2.Usage of Gels ,Don't use it if doesn't suits your body type
[I used 3 gels over all the race ]
3.Carry support poles, these poles will helps you in uphill sessions .
4.Make a strategy and split the course and plan the execution  as per the target distance and time .
5.Maintain proper inputs of Hydration and solid foods.
6.Don't skip any aid station .At every aid station mandatory Check your hydration bag and refill the things ,Keep small snackes always.
7.when you are solo on the trail ,Don't fallow the mind instead fallow the route markings.
8.Try to find the co runner with same pace .[which is very important]
9.Use Vaseline at all possible skin rupture places [to sustain long time on the course with out skin irritations]
10.Keep the will power high until you reach the finish line .
